  3. 2012 ASCILITE Innovation and Excellence Award. Design and implementation of the Flexible Learning Institute’s Teaching Fellowship Scheme which focused on curriculum design, distributive leadership and design-based research. The ascilite Innovation and Excellence Award was given “in recognition of outstanding innovation and excellence in the development of a major professional development initiative that promotes the exemplary and research informed use of technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education.” 
  4. 2011 At the 2011 ascilite conference in Hobart on the 6th December I was honoured to receive a Life Member Award “in recognition of sustained and outstanding service to ascilite through significant contributions toward the leadership, key directions and core strategic activities of the ascilite community”. This was the 10th Life Member Award presented in the 30 year history of ascilite.
  5. 2005 Problem-based learning and teacher-education. One of five finalists – Educational Technology Award – 2005 ascilite awards. These awards are designed to reward leaders in the use of electronic technologies in teaching and learning in tertiary education.
